This is such a great article. For years I thought my passion was always changing. Then I woke up one day and realized I had the same love my whole life. I love researching. The topics I would read piles and piles of books about changed according to where I was in life. But the love a research was always there. But where is the action in research, you take a lot of knowledge in, but in some ways it is passive, unless you do something with all that knowledge. Like maybe write it down and share it. So I moved to action. I can get a high off writing a review for markers. (Not from fumes, just because I love writing so much.) When even the mundane parts of something thrill you, you know you have a passion. But did I need to be searching for it all those years? No, and believe me, I was too busy living life to have this gaping whole where my passion should have been. Plus, it was with me all the time, I just couldn’t name it.
