Yes, you read that byline correctly, normalcy is made by Nazi’s. Nazi Germany was one of the most conforming cultures of the modern world. There was one ‘correct’ set of ideas and every citizen was expected to believe in those ideas.

Hitler dictated the curriculum in schools and got rid of teachers who encouraged free thought. It started in the minds of the young.

It is, of course, the same educational model we follow here in the United States. The only thing that has saved us from such doom is that we do not have completely centralized control.

The leader of our country does not have power to fire teachers or change curriculum. Nor should we ever grant that power.

All the same, we have the same system, which essentially glorifies sameness. Normality sits on a high throne.

The biggest problem with this is that those who are not normal think they are missing out on something. Trust me, there is nothing in that normal world worth attaining to.

In fact, presenting yourself as entirely normal requires compromise. Because humans are built from freedom, and when we choose to conform to fit in, we rob ourselves of the happiness and fulfillment that comes from embracing that…
