Ignoring the Obvious Won’t Make It Go Away
It Takes Courage To Face Foward, But if You Can’t Face Foward You Can’t Pay it Foward Either.
This title was scribbled in my journal. I remember getting out of bed to jot it down. I guess I thought it was some kind of great epiphany at the time, not much can get me out of bed once I am there. I mean, even my morning alarm struggles to get me up.
So I thought the idea was important to share. It is staring at me from my journal yet for the life of me I can’t really remember what I was thinking when I wrote it down.
But I can think of a million situations where people, as a general group, tend to ignore the obvious, and therefore, think the obvious no longer exists. What we don’t see must not be, right? And so, if we don’t want something to be, we just turn around and it disappears. Magic.
It sounds juvenile to accuse us all of such behavior. As adults, we all know that just because we turn our back to something or choose to ignore it, it does not cease to exist. But isn’t this something we engage in every day? Even though we seldom realize we are doing it.
