Divergent thinking is the skill of imagination. It is looking at a fork a seeing a hundred ways a fork could be used. When we create we need divergent thinking, it is the first step of creation.

Creativity and genius go hand in hand, as creativity is the skill of making new connections, generating new ideas, and solving problems in new, more efficient ways.
